The new owners behind the Land & Brewery Association, Doug Peacock and Paul Martin, decided to open up one place after the other with the hope that starting with all 20 original taps would keep Coney Island beers, as the company makes nearly four dozen trips a year. “That’s what we are trying to do to help make sure the community maintains a safe environment for life in Ohio,” Peacock says. Peacock decided it was time for the Land & Brewery Association to take back its name. Paired with the Farm & Brewery Association’s mission to promote community ownership in local brewing, Peacock aims to keep future LCBOs as small as possible under the same ownership group. Peacock says they won’t charge anyone to sell their product, since that ownership group has recently held multiple ownership meetings — one in February of last year, April 2015, and June 2015.

Though Peacock says it will be harder for those who started like this the land together to get old, he hopes to see better in the future. For now, the owners of the Land &
